Keynote Lecture: “AI-Driven R&D and Industrialization of New Materials”
Zheng Jiaxin— Tenured Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Advanced Materials, Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School; Founder and CEO of Shenzhen Eacomp Technology
Professor Zheng Jiaxin has long focused on intelligent R&D of battery materials and has achieved outstanding results in technology transfer. As founder of Eacomp Technology, he led the development of the BDA (Battery Design Automation) software platform, tackling the bottleneck of domestic battery simulation industrial software. The platform uses AI simulation to replace conventional trial-and-error experimentation, helping battery companies accelerate the development of new materials and new electrochemical systems. Professor Zheng established the PKU–Eacomp Joint Laboratory, building a complete technical chain from computational simulation to experimental validation of battery materials and providing intelligent material design services to leading battery manufacturers such as CATL. His work stands as a representative benchmark for industry-academia-research commercialization in China‘s battery AI R&D sector.

Li Lingyu holds a Frontier Engineering Doctorate from the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Peking University and a master’s degree from Columbia University. He is a Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP) and a Zhongguancun-certified technology transfer manager, dedicated to advancing AI4S-enabled ecosystem innovation. He previously worked at a leading domestic venture capital firm, where he led investments in several hard-tech champion enterprises in AI, robotics, and intelligent manufacturing, and has years of experience in investment, financing, and corporate management. His doctoral research focuses on AI4M (AI-enabled materials R&D), aiming to expand AI applications in materials development and address bottlenecks in materials for China‘s key semiconductor industry.
